Kindness begets kindness, Evermore

"Kindness begets kindness, Evermore."

- Sophocles

One of the popular Greek proverbs "kindness begets kindness" which literally means if you are kind to others, you will receive kindness in return. In today's world, kindness has been seen as a weakness by some groups of people which is in fact the strongest human character. In moments of annoyance, it defines our character, and in times of melancholy, it gives us hope. It gives us an inner fortitude that enables us to support people who are in need but are unable to do it on their own. We feel better about ourselves and our life when we do acts of kindness. Every minute of every day offers chances to show kindness to others. Our lives would be more spectacular if we made a more intentional effort to be nicer, better people, by frequently practising kindness. It is life-giving to demonstrate acts of kindness with no expectations of compensation other than the positive sentiments they elicit. What greater achievement in life could there be than to be regarded as a kind, compassionate, and an empathetic person? Being kind to others fosters interpersonal connections and fills some of our most fundamental human needs. Kindness and compassion also appear to spread easily. When we witness someone being considerate or kind, or when we are the recipient of kindness, it motivates us to act similarly. Truly, the secret to making the world better is to practise kindness and altruistic generosity. In its simplest form, kindness is not dependent on giving or receiving assistance physically. It springs from a point of self-awareness that enables you to be aware of others, including humans and animals, as well as our own feelings. Morgan Freeman, an American actor and narrator, remarked : " How do we change the world? One random act of kindness at a time. " Just by performing one random act of kindness in our day-to-day life towards our family, friends, street animals, or some stranger in need, we're making the world a better place and spreading awareness to be kind. Sending Kindness to all.
